Hi, I’m Tanya – a passionate regional artist, workshop facilitator and the founder of Paint and Sip with Tanya.
Originally from Wagga Wagga, I returned home after a decades-long corporate career that took me to Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Singapore. While that chapter of my life was full of growth and experience, it was when I came back to Wagga that I truly reconnected with myself and rediscovered my love of painting.
Over a decade ago, I picked up a paintbrush again — and I haven’t put it down since.
My artistic journey has been one of rediscovery, courage and creativity. Painting has become not just a practice, but a way of expressing joy, resilience and connection to place. As an artist, I’m inspired by colour, atmosphere and storytelling, and I love creating works that invite others to pause, reflect and feel.
Alongside my own art practice, I run Paint and Sip with Tanya, hosting creative workshops designed for people of all experience levels. I also have my own dedicated workshop studio in Wagga, where I run public classes, private group sessions and special themed events. Whether you’re a complete beginner or someone who hasn’t painted since school, my workshops are designed to be welcoming, relaxed and uplifting.
My goal — whether I’m exhibiting my artwork or guiding a community workshop — is to create a space where people feel free to explore, experiment and reconnect with their creativity in a supportive environment.
